Fenton Family Challenge - "Home-to-Home"
The Fenton family and members of the Karen Fenton Ovarian Cancer Fund completed their own special #PullTogetherCUHC challenge. Over the course of week of May 25th-29th the Fenton's completed a virtual 262km "home-to-home" run in honour of cherished and and missed sister, daughter and auntie. The route took the Fenton's and fund members virtually from Karen's home in Corbally to the place Karen loved so well - Clontarf in Dublin - a place she specifically mentioned in her last few days as she longed to go back to see again.
The completion of the run was marked by a physical run around Clontarf area to see some of the landmarks but especially to the apartment on Howth Road that Karen lived in and to the Ebb and Flow cafe that she loved so much. Many thanks to Lisa McCarthy for running this route and providing the photos. Scroll to Day 5 on this web page to see the photos!

The Fenton's and Karen Fenton Ovarian Cancer Fund completed well over the distance envisaged for the virtual "home-to-home" challenge from Corbally to Clontarf. This was a special challenge for the Fenton's as Karen spent the 3 years living in Clontarf before she took ill. The completion of the challenge was marked by a special actual run to various landmarks around Clontarf - especially Karen's apartment and the Ebb and Flow cafe that she loved.
Lisa McCarthy ran 14km around Clontarf, visiting many of the landmarks of the area and marking the completion of the "home-to-home" challenge with a physical run.
