Registration
Registration can be completed on-line at www.karenfenton.ie.
Registration (GAA Hall) will also be open on Sunday morning from 10.30am and closing at 12pm sharp.
Race HQ will be at Ballinora GAA Hall.
All participants will need to collect their numbers during these times.
All U16’s on the day of the event will need to have parental/guardian consent to participate. Signage forms will be available during registration times for those not already registered online.
Supervision
Children U12 must be supervised by an adult at all times, and a maximum of one adult to 4 children is required. Children should be kept in arm’s length of the adult during the race. This is to ensure the safety of all involved and we thank you for your co-operation in advance.
Safety
Marshals will plentiful around the course to ensure the safety of all involved. Alert your nearest marshal should you or anyone around you require assistance.
Medical Personnel includes Qualified Medical Doctor and Red Cross Ambulance - First Aiders which will be stationed at the start/finish area in the vicinity of the Church.
- Note: Race HQ for registration, collection of timing chips is Ballinora GAA Hall.
- Sunday 10.30am-12pm sharp
- Anyone who has not received timing chip must arrive before 12pm to get race numbers, timing chips and sign in.
- If you have received your timing chip please proceed to the race briefing at Ballinora Churchyard by latest 12.10pm.
- Online Registration closes Friday at 1.00pm – register online at www.karenfenton.ie
Transportation & Parking
- Arrive early to allow time for parking - we recommend you arrive no later than 11.45am
- Race Marshals will direct traffic to designated parking areas at Race HQ & surrounds
- Parking also available at Ballymah pitch and O’Shea’s Pub
- Buses available on Waterfall Road at Ballymah pitch, Heatherfield and O’Shea’s Pub from 10.30am
- Where possible car pool
Pre-Race & Post-Race
- Race-Briefing at 12.15pm at Ballinora Churchyard
- Competitors make their way to the start line
- Race start 12.30pm
- Start line: Runners to the front, walkers behind
- Post-race refreshments in the GAA Hall after the race.
- Prizes will be given out in the Race HQ.
Presentation
- Prizes will be given out at Race HQ after the race. Please make your way to the GAA Hall after race and we will give out prizes as quickly as possible.
- The ‘Karen Fenton Memorial Cup’ & The ‘Máire Comerford Memorial Cup’ to the First Male and Female finishers
- Prizes to the First 5 Male and Female finishers and 1st to 3rd age category prizes
